Welcome to the Sandwell Forum for Voluntary Youth Organisations website.
SFVYO has over 10 years of experience in supporting voluntary sector youth organisations of all sizes across the borough of Sandwell and currently has a membership of over 60 organisations representing over 4800 young people. Our members consist of all types of organisations; from sports and performing arts clubs to faith based and uniformed groups.What We Do
The aim of the Forum is to support the work of its member organisations in order to enable them to meet the needs and aspirations of young people in Sandwell.
How We Do It
- Encouraging co-operation between members
- Providing opportunities for members to express their needs and concerns to various organisations
- Reviewing and encouraging development within each organisation
- Forming an effective partnership with other agencies working with young people
- Provide various forms of training for the member groups, usually free of charge.
- Securing funding for our member organisations
How We Are Organised:
Within the Forum we have an executive committee, which comprises of the Executive Officers, Chair, two Vice Chairs, Treasurer and Secretary, they are elected each year through the Annual General Meeting. The executive meet six times a year and in addition to this there are three forum network meetings and one annual general meeting.
